Artaste Feb. Challenge 2015

Thanks Artaste for this amazing challenge,
this one had me thinking for a bit. maybe leave it , no, that's what i gave myself to do, to do some challenges  out of my comfort zone, so what shall i produce,

Here I have started with chipboard base, and have spread structural  paste over it, while still wet, i have placed a stencil over it and spread over more  paste and let dry.

Then, came the  white gesso over the top, let this dry.

I bought  perfect pearls  for my cards  years ago, but if you are like me, after a while they go into the cupboard, so are not used as often as, but i love the pearly effect it gives this page and now it will be in a place where i can get to it easy to use again,

Now for the fun part, I have dotted the colours, purple, blue, pink,  over the page and with a wet paint brush, brushed it over the page, for a lovely pearly effect on my layout.
I have used, Dew Drop Brilliance Graphite black around the edge of the layout.

My punches are now with in easy reach now as well, with my new cupboard,
Here I  have used Martha Stewart and Fiskers punches.

The tag  is from scrapmatts and the ink i have used is Dew Drop Brilliance  pearlscent lavender. i have only a few of these , but now love the effect it has on chipboards, i will be purchasing more in the near future,  when i find somewhere that stocks them.

  2. Love your background. The structural paste certainly can be seen... it gives such interest to the page. Love the colours you've used and the technique for applying the medium. I agree about the pearlescent inks.. they also look stunning on black. Thank you for joining in at ARTastic. Cheers, Di

  3. That background! It's AMAZING and totally gobsmackingly beautiful. I don't think I'd have the patience to create it, but man! I ADORE looking at it! And you've left the rest of your page lovely and CAS [clean & simple] so that it balances so nicely with your photo.....really great page:):) BTW....did you know how to link each individual post to a challenge? Rather than your whole blog? Once your post is 'live', click on the title of your particular post, & that gives you a separate 'web address' in that box up the top. This is the one to copy and paste into the Mr Linky link up thingy.....just wondered if you knew that??!!!!!!!! ANYWAYS, thanks as always for joining us at ARTastic:)

    1. hi Lizzy,
im still learning about this Mr linky and the blog, before last October, i did not even think that i would have a blog, but 2 challenge sites asked me to make one, a lady from one of the challenge sites made one up for me, and has given me instructions, i will go and read again for next months challenges, hopefully i will get there and do it right. i must have missed that part, find it easy to do it to all the challenges though the blog now. thanks for the great words from all dts until next month, ohh that's soon.
