mixed Gypsys scrapbooking shop DT work

                                       My Dad  1st layout
i really loved  doing these   layouts of  my dad , brought back fond memories when  I was a kid  and my dad  racing .My  mum also  did some racing  i will do another layout soon  with  mum in &  another one with me  in ,  but not racing

The Working Man  collection.   what  great  collection for the man in your family.
I really loved working  with  it  for a change from girls & beachy layouts that i really love to work with .
all products can be bought at  Mixed Gypsys  Scrapbooking  shop
products used
Celebr8 paper collection   the Working Man
 - protective pp3603
the man pp 3606
Loyal pp3605
butterfly

  cogs chipboard
colour blast  colour art ink. Walnut ( brown )
its a mans world chipboard
Celebr8  flair
acacate sheet
distress  oxide  bluprint sketch ( dark blue )

Feeling crafty today . want to  achieve something  new & different .lets go &  create  these  layouts
  (1) i have used  Protective PP3603   as my base for  my double layout ,distress the edges, and  ink  with distress oxide  blueprint sketch  inks ( or any other deep  blue you have ) around the edges,

  (2) Next with  Colour Blast Colour artist  ink  put some in a spray bottle  add some water   mix  the amount of  drops  you add   depends on the darkness of the next  procedure,  I have bought from  mixed  gypsys a  butterfly chipboard with cogs ,   so  i have sprayed  though the chipboard  onto   my base papers around the edges of both  base  sheets ,    you dont need to do middle, as  the  next paper will cover.
dry.   i use my fan lol to dry things in a hurry so im not waiting  you can use heat gun or  place out in the sun ( make sure you put something  on it so it doesn't blow away.

 (3) cut  a blue sheet  of cardstock four and  quarter by six and quarter  and  spray  with the   cog   chipboard, set aside  to dry and use a bit later  in layout

 (4)   with The Man PP3606  cut  circle  out,  i have used  my dinner plate  that we use for  the microwave LOl  from top to bottom its 10  inches round. distress edges again and ink  with blue . so circle on one side  of the layout  & the  negative on the other side of your layout

 (5) next technique  you dont own a  cog stamp,  well here  ive done something new .  with the same  chipboard you used before we are now going to stamp, which i  hope  , the chipboard is now dry also  ,  ink with  Distress oxide  blueprint sketch  onto the  same side  as you used for  the  spraying  now  stamp around the pages  ive only placed it on  one  layout ,but you can do on both if you like .
A Small  Hint - if you have  a soft  sponge  place it under the   paper before you stamp,   and then stamp the  image will come out a  lot sharper )

( 6) cut out the bonus sheet  "squares  & rectangles"and  with the acetate.   glue  the  acacate   "life is a one time offer" and  "think outside the box,"   of the squares you have just cut out  only place  liquid  glue  on the darker parts of words ,that way it wont show . when dry.

(7) get   colour artist   ink and  with the dropper  drop  in around the   area,  dollop around the page   i   have a old rag that  i use  to  blot up  anything,  ( even mistakes when i  didn't put the lid back on and it  spilt over my table  oppps ) so  i  just leave a few seconds to  let it  absorb the paper then  blot off what i dont need.  doesnt matter if it smudges  its  for a mans  page,  boys are messy

( 8 ) cut out  the chevrons ( arrows ) off the acacate sheet as well as the numbers and assemble  as  layout  shown
()  cut  out one  strip of the chevron paper and  distress &  ink  and place across the middle  under the  photo

(9) "its a  mans world  chipboard "is  painted with  walnut  colour Blast Art   ink i just put  one drop on a  craft mat and  used a paint brush  to paint it on .

 ( 10 )  add  flair  to the page ,
add your photo to the  dried mat and stick to the page .

hope you enjoyed  this  -
___________________________________________________
now for  layout 2
so most of  the  layout  has been done  in layout one , so  add your outside of the circle  to this side,  then add   i have  9 photos  4 inch by  3 inch some of the four inch sides go under the  outside edge circle  .i have  distress the edges
cut our cogs from your papers Loyal  PP 3605  distress and ink .
for my title  i have used one of the strips  that you cut off at the bottom  of the page and matted it with  blue cardstock. also cut out my toys   and matted some of my photos
i have  cut  the chain also  in  embellishment  pack and ran it around the cogs and then around half of the page ,  it also has some  green  beads in the packet so when i glued the  chain with wet glue i  just added the green  around the  edges  and let dry.
i have  raised  my dad in this photo  with  collall  3d decoupage  glue ( sorry  karen does not sell this )  i love it use it all the time instead of glue dots,  but you can use glue dots   for the same effect

thank you   hope you enjoyed  my layouts  please share what you have  created please  love to see  something  that ive created
until next time  have a great day .

Mixed Gypsys scrapbooking shop DT

 hi everyone
i recently  was given this photo, among others  that will feature  soon,  Im  yet to find out  where it fits in  our family tree,  but when i saw   the Gentleman's  Emporium  collection , i thought , these papers are meant to be for this photo
It looks  like the pole  is just getting  electricity and  the person who took the photo  wanted the  pole in the middle of the house,  as  reminder,  there are  no wires  im estimating the  photo was around 1882, it may have been later,  us siblings   will have to  meet with other cousins and see if  any other photos  are  around the same era .im hoping so it looked like a beautiful home in its hey day , of course no televisions,  then  my father and grandfather were  one of  9 children each,  i believe this  house  may be   my great grand parents home .  as it was in my  uncles  processions  when found .

   Gentlemen Emporium

Layout  one
trim off edge of   Cadnana cardstock  ( brown)
cut out   middle 27 x 27
cut  3 inch by 3 inch  piece of patterned paper  and  cut on the diagonal you only use one corner
cut out checked paper  28.5 x 28.5 distress the edges and place on cardstock curl down   right hand corner and place a  the  triangle  you just cut before . under it  i have glued the  curled   corner to keep in place
ink the  clock  colour chipboard with   Colour Blast  Artist   ink Walnut
ink around all the pages
cut out   3 boys and men  & windmill
you have some   postcard sheets i have placed  one ,  after distressing and inking 2 sides ,placed under the photo  at the bottom of the page
i have also cut out  clocks and placed  around the page
use sticker sheets  what  ever   takes your fancy.place  under any tears you have made  around the page .
get out  1897 and  ink the 2  edges
cut green cardstock
cut  070  &  place  on top of  photos
my photo is  5 1/4 x 6 1/4
Please note that   the cardstock and  papers for this  collection are  larger than 30 x 30 cm so  have made mine to 30 x 30  (12 x 12 inch)  to fit  into  my sleeves
You may have noticed ,that  as my photo was large and had a lot of grass at the bottom,  i didn't want to  cut it off so placed my  chipboard over it  and it looks like part of the picture
.
i have  also added a  flair from Flairs with Crece (  can be bought at   Mixed  Gypsys )

hope you enjoyed my layout

come check out the store to see it in person if possible

cheers
jacqui have a  great crafting day ,

happy easter to all,
today we have had funny weather   sometimes we have had rain then next  minute  out comes the sunshine at least its still warm enough to still wear summer clothes

wow , i just thought that  my  blog posts  have disappeared ,but they have changed things in april, 2019.  of course after   i read ,the  first  3 paragraphs i get tired of reading   but tonight,  i went to go in usual way, and  behold , nothing ,wheres  my new post sign,

lucky for me i have  changed a few things and  hoping  now all will be ok, as im in here  writing so thats a start  whew,
i have made  a video , my first  on the phone  but not really sure how to  go from  phone to my blog so  may have to  have a think on that   line ,
when im at hervey norman  i can transfer  photos without a  cord   to their computer, so maybe , just maybe i can figure  it out  on my computer ,
