Jacqui's Hello Easy Cards

                                                  JACQUI'S  HELLO EASY  CARDS

Today i wanted to create some cards that  were simple to  create  I have lots of  cardstock , &  patterned papers to last me a life time , &  i have just joined a group that  sends out  Acts of Kindness cards.  The group is growing so fast, i thought  i would  only have a few to make , but its increasingly  growing day by day, so want to  achieve something  thats going to be quick  &  easy  not spend  hours creating

INGREDIENTS

 one sheet  of  patterned paper

3 sheets of white  card stock  or  your preference

scraps  of white or preferred colour for your stamping  &  matting

HELLO   stamp

i have used Staz-on ink

Black or any colour gel pen

your preference of tape  or  glue  to  stick together  , you may add bling , or other items  to  your card , as i most likely do later,  another alternative  is to  corner round  your corners,

if you dont have stamps you can use  collectibles or sticker sheets for  your   words , the choice is yours  its   endless  the possibilities

lets get started Tent &  Landscape  cards  4 " x6 " Stamp    Hello word  to white carstock.   trim to desired size i have a couple that are stamped onto the  card see below Score  3 sheets of  white card stock at 6 inches ,  now , turn &  cut  at   4 inches or  100 cms  wide.so now you have 9 cards   using the template  with   the sizes .                                                                                   Card  one 3 3/4  x  5 3 /4  . add to card.  now cut  on the right hand side of your paper  half an inch ,you can use this  to  place your  hello on top of     for variety , you can add ribbon  here  to hold the word  hello .i have given you 3 examples  if you have a particular design  as in my   last card   you can make it  to that design

Card  2  & 3 cut    3 3/4  x  5 3/4  cut on the diagonal place  half on each card ,you can do  either  protrait or landscape  Stamp  on the card   Hellowith  steel  ruler,   draw around only  2 sides ,as shown  in my 2 pics.

card 4    cut    5  strips of   3 1/2  x one inch, add to  card, a tip, i do is  i start on both outsides  and work in ,that way   the middle  one should be  in the middle.       i dont really measure anything here i  just go by my eye Card 6 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch square add  black pen around  outside stamp on card

Card  7     this one is like card  4   all i did was  make them into  flags place on card same  way as  card 4
Card 8cut    your  3  3/4 square  now  cut   3 inches square Cut  on the diagonal  both ways , Dont throw away those scraps  they are going on your card   cut a scrap  peice of  cooured cardstock 3 1/4   x 3 1/4  inch and allowing just a small gap place your 4 triangles  over lapping  each  other toform a diamond in  the middle  add  those  2 strips top and bottom   of the card ,and  then your Hello  on mat over  the middle

Card  9         Stamp Hello  tothe centre of your card cut  the ramaining 3 3/4   square and cut on the diagonal  once  add to  each corner of your  card , overlapping the edges

below is  some that i have done  with using  6 inch  pad  of Kaiercraft  Wandering  Ivy, using  more papers but the same technique ,

On the right here i have used a one inch  scalloped  punch  for soemthing a bit different hope you enjoyed making my cards  please comment  belowif able cheersjacqui mccully

JACQUI'S STATIONERY BOX

                                                         JACQUI'S  STATIONERY BOX

2   sheets  of black or preferred colour , ( i use  Cricut  Box Board its thicker  than  other card  stocks   but getting hard to get as it comes from china,  buy at spotlight ) but  any cardstock will do.
3 sheets of  patterned paper  ,  i  have used  ULTIMATE CRAFTS  designed by Sue Smyth. RAMBLING ROSE COLLECTION
i have used 2 the same with the lid different

  • card stock instructions  BASE
cut  one sheet   10 inches by 12 inches score  at 2 inches and 8  inches on the short side
turn  now score at                                                     5 inches  &    7 inches  long side ,
CUT  with  scissors  the middle sections  as shown,  ( DO NOT MAKE YET. ITS EASIER TO  PLACE  PATTERN PAPERS ON WHILE FLAT (  well thats my theory anyway  lol)

THE PATTERNED PAPERS -   BASE  OF BOX
( note  i cut the  4 3/4 side first  ( if a certain pattern ) as if you have birds you dont want them flying sideways

cut  4  of  4 3/4 x  5 3/4 "  glue  in place    on Base  in place
cut 8 of  4 3/4  x  1 3/4  only glue on 6  at this stage leave  outside  not glued  you will see when  you make the box up  then add  the other   2 later
cut  1 of   5 3/4  x  1 3/4 add to  middle of the base

LID   card stock   2nd sheet
Cut   6 1/8 x 10 1/8 inches  SCORE  at  2 "  & 8 1/8 inches  long side
turn paper       SCORE at 2 "  and 4 1/8 inches short  side
CUT   the  edges like  you did on the  base

LID    PAPERS
cut 3  at   5 3/4  x 1 3/4" glue in place
cut  2  at    1  3/4 x 1 3/4 inch  now make up  the lid after you have cut the  2  on the middle  tuck in the sides and  glue  in  place, then   your patterned paper  over it lid  done  now
glue the small flaps  to the  middle  flap then  add  pattern papers  to each end

POCKETS  CARD STOCK
LARGE  7 1/2 X 4  1/2                      SCORE   on 3 sides at   3/4 "   if you want a wider  pocket you will need to add extra  IT TO BE  8 or so     and score  1 inch  . (ALWAYS JUST CHECK BEFORE GLUING TO THE BASE TO MAKE SURE IT FITS  IN SLOT    L O L )
MEDIUM   5 1/2 x 2"     SCORE   at 1/2  &  ONE  inch both ends
small       4  1/4 x 2 inch   SCORE  at 1 &  ONE  inch both ends
press  folds make crisp

POCKETS Pattern papers
CUT  LARGE  POCKET    5 3/4  x  3  1/2  inches  glue in place   then cut   one corner and  make  the pocket
DO  NOT  glue into  box yet , i join all  pieces together  then find it easier to manoover  into  place
CUT  MEDIUM  cover 3 1/4 x  1 3/4  inch
CUT SMALL                  2 1/4  X 1 3/4 inch
Now join  the  smaller ones you just finished to the larger pocket  only at the backs for now ,  lining up the  2  edges first ,then when secure,  secure the middle  sections
now you can add glue to the sides  of the  pockets and add to the base of your  box

you can add  pen,  sticky notes ,  cards with envelopes   Or if you have crafty friends
im going to add  things like  ribbons , washi tapes,  buttons,  brads  you know you get so much of stuff  im also going to add dried  lavender in small bags so you can place in your drawers  .  The list is endless   it does not just have to be for stationery

Congratulations you have completed your stationery  box ,  now to decorate  &  add to goodies inside

Seaside Serenity june dt 2020

SEASIDE SERENITY COLLECTION LAYOUT  June  2020
What a beautiful range of papers these are .by STUDIO 73.
Of course i  maybe particual to it as  i love anything with blue and white with the sea  & pelicans,
these are  made in Australia,  at www.studio73.com.au are on facebook, pinterest & twitter,
my first desire is to use the pelicans gosh every paper is  beautiful,  theres not one side i dont like
my layout today is  fairly simple , but a lot of fussy cutting ,
Now those who know me , know this is not a strong point with me but i took my time and loved  (well there were some tight moments  lol)  cutting out everything that was going on in my head to cut
I used  seaside escape as my base ,i have no cardstock in my layout as i  wanted to capture the colours  of the papers as well as my photos .
1 photo  4 x6
2  photos  3 x 4  that can be cut to shape  in the branches
i have inked   & distressed the edges  in Card Deco mid blue sold at  Mixed Gypsy's  Scrapbooking shop along with the papers
you will require these papers
FRAME CUTZ
HERRON COVE # 557344
SEASIDE SERENITY # 557344
PELICAN FROM  FRONT PAGE
OCEAN SPRAY  #557343
FUZZY CUTZ  SHEET
TAG SHEET

Cut the following  parts out
from the  cover page that has everything on it , cut out
pelican,  posts & i have cut out seaside serenity as my  title
from  frame cuts cut out  the top  middle and  bottom left hand side  branches frames
lighthouse  is from  herron cove
seagulls from  ocean spray .
seagulls , post.  reefs anchor ,nest,  from fussy cuts
also you will need one of  the  6 x 6  sheets that has the sea gulls  at the top of the page i cut mine down to  3 and half to  6  inch
Arrange the  seagulls  at the top of your page these are inked in blue
i then started at the bottom and worked up  to the middle  of my page
starting with my  frames  in the middle at the bottom ( 2 ) i then arranged  my  post and pelican to the left hand side of my page ,
a smaller post  above the other  post then the light house above that  i  have covered the joins with the nest between lighthouse and  post to the right side of your page .
then,  i  placed the 2 reefs  beside  lower right hand corner then the anchor  on top leaning against the post
i have added the  tag under the  top reef and over part of the lighthouse,
The  half sheet, tape to back of your photo and add to middle of your page .

Hope you enjoy  creating this with me .

BEACH MINI ALBUM

ive been asked by several people since  march 7th to put up the measurements of my  album  of course the ladies in  Gladstone  i can not put the one you saw up  as yet,but here is  my latest one with  beach  mini album
hi all , i was gonig to load my mickey mouse album which i have explained a few things in there to help you along the way to creating one of my albums , but its not playing the game so i will just add the instructions here hoping i havent missed anything in it im sure you can write to me and say what happens here i dont understand on my pm please say what page you are having problems with ok, im not a mind reader
MINI ALBUM
on reading these instructions , to make sure i have everything done right hoping i havent missed anythnig out ,my mind is thinking , gosh i wish i could show you all this in person, it would be so great
NOTES .
Just to give you some tips at the start , when i do my pockets i add clear invisable sticky tape to the insides of edges, espeiclally on the corners it makes it easy to fold them over , then glue and stick down without trying to hold onto 3 sides you dont have to do , can stay there as you wont see it once the papers go on top or its under neath,
you can make your inserts as you go or create them later . ive included them while i was working the another album i did all at the end after i added the cover
if you have lots of paper ,this is one good way to use up the papers although i do love the cricut kraft card its nice and thick although you need 2 packets its cheaper to buy online than at the store, its discontuning isnt it always the way when i find soemthing i really love they stop it ,but maybe cause its made in china and we dont want the virus .
with the flap to finish the album thats an idea from my freind Beccy Muir from Beccys Place i saw one of her albums & thought i love that idea of clasping it close your choice of how you wish to clasp it i have lots of ribbons so ribbons work for me of course you dont have to add this if you dont want to
also once you have mastered this size you can make your albums smaller /higher in height. i just like the 7 inch by 9 inch size . when i saw this album 3 years ago on utube they had a different size but i didnt want it that size either so i worked out these sizes
PRODUCTS IVE USED
2 packets CRICUT Black (or white if you can find it ) Kraft Card
2 packets here i have used Uniquely Creations march Urban Gardens
5 sheets of Kaiser chipboard bought at kaiser $3.99 a packet of 3
CRICUT Acetate Metallic sheets spotlight
ART GLITTER GLUE .or any strong glue
Scorer. i have We are Memories i love it ihad it 6 months before i realised it was also a trimmer lol i also love it cause if gives a nice thick score, but any hand scorer if you have it will be fine
red tape i find when making the cover to add red tape as well as the liquid glue ,but thats me as i know i have loads of photos and need it to stay together.
cloth tape from bunnings any colour except purple but white always looks nice with colours papers with my mickey mouse album i have used red tape
flowers , paper flowers, bling , ribbon
you will need, metal ruler, pencil. knife, scissors,
magnets , i use magnets that i bought from dasios i find them much stronger than any others
cloth tape from Bunnings but you can use paper to wrap around your chipboard if you like to i find the cloth tape stronger and it bends with the book i used to use this when i worked in the printing shop to cover books so its been around for over 40 years the technique of it has changed i used to have to hand glue it now its sticky
sticky tape (optional )
corner rounder for edges
on reading these instructions ,my mind is thinking ,gosh i wish i could show you all this in person, it would be so great
PAGE ONE
(1) cut one sheet 9 inch x 12 inch score at 5 1/2
(2) with remaining paper ( 3 inches wide ) cut to 9 inches .should be 3 x 9 inches score at 1/2 inch on the long side
glue to the outside of flap on the largest side .

cut 2 sheets 5 1/2 x 3, score at 1/2 inch on 3 sides glue both pockets to that smaller page you just created ,

cut 2 sheets .5 1/2 x 4 inches these go inside your pockets you just created to add photos to . you can decorate these with papers if your photos are smaller
head back to page one the smaller page ( 5 1/2 wide)
(3) cut 2 - 6 1/2 x 4 inches (one we are going to make one a acetate pocket if you like .they can be both the same score half inch on 3 sides miter corners and glue to the small page on one of the pockets you can add a acetate sheet.
(4) acacate sheet , page from one of that you just cut , get your ruler and measure in 3 sides at 25mm pencil it and one side the top at 15 mm cut out the middle then add your acacate sheet make sure you dont go over the score marks
with the 2nd pocket only glue 2 sides not the bottom one as you slide it under the other pocket. then your 12 x4 sheet with photos can be slide down to the bottom hope that makes sense.
cut a sheet, 12 x 4 1/4 score inthe middle this is to slide in the acatete pocket
page 2 is just a plain page add papers as desired
you have already done page 3 the little pockets
turn over page page 4 and 5 .
(5) cut 2 12 x 9 inch score at 1/2 inch & 7 inches glue one to the page keep one page for later glue the half inch to the right hand side of your page 4 to create more pages .
(6 ) cut two - 5 x 7 score at 1/2 inch on 2 sides , measure 2 1/2 inches in and down draw from point to point cut corner off glue as pocket on page 4.and 5.cover your page first cut 2 sheets 6 1/2 x 4 1.2. this are inserts to put in your pocket with photos
(7) cut one sheet 4 x 10 inch, score 1/2 on two ends ( mking it 9 inches ) this is going to be your binding edge , to slide in the one inch hinge see later you will understand it .glue to page you just added . you have just you should be able to put your hand though
(8) other sheet you cut earlier ( with the 2 scores ) miter corners glue to upper inside of the pocket you just created at the half inch edge . so now you have another page that is 5 1/2 inches wide . fold over to create page 6
9) cut one 4 1/2 x 10 score 3 sides
attach to other side of the 4 inch one leave a small gap so it does not touch the scoring edge when you add photos it wont touch the score line edge
(10 ) cut 2 4 3/4 x 6 score on 3 sides to create pockets attach to 2 sides of your page
(11) turn over to last page
cut 2 3/4 x 7 3/4/ score 3 sides at half an inch add to the bottom of the page .
12) cut 2 - 6 x 6 inch score half inch on on side attach to each edge they will over lap place magnets in places
you can make all 3 same or add some variety to some of the pages . here i have a couple of sizes that i have changed
variations .
with the 2 pockets on the 1st page you can create a single large acacate pocket or make 2 smaller ones but dont add acecate or just have one pocket there so there gives you 4 choices
binding pocket 10 x 5 inch here you can create a larger acacate page instead of the 2 smaller ones score on 3 sides to create a pocket and add acatete ifyou like
add only one pocket to the bottom of page one or 2 pockets without the acetate in.
L shape page here i have the instructions
another idea that i have done as i had so many photos of my god son was to create
8 inches x 6 1/4 landscape waterfall . i will try to find the mickey mouse album in my happy jacs and bump it to the top if i put it in here
cut 9 peices of cardstock 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 score at half and inch this take 4 x 6 photos
glue down before gluing the large sheet down ,i have added ribbon to the back and brought it all together at the from to tie down so it does not flap around
are you still having fun we are almost there
COVER
cut 4 sheets of Kaiser chipboard ( or other thick board) 9 3/4 x 7 1 /2
cut 4 sheets 9 3/4 x 2 1/2 you can make this to 3 inches and make an extra inserts if you think you have lots of photos
cut 2 sheets 9 3/4 x 2 1/2 ( flap atthe front )
glue 2 sheets together of all the same size sheets so it makes the cover really thick
so you end up with 5 peices of chipboard
line up large sheet to a smaller one by using cloth tape your choice of colour 1/4 inch apart work around the whole lot. so when youstand it it looks like a box now to add your
HINGE
cut one black cricut card to 9 inches x12 inches,
score at
2 ",2 1/2". 3 1/2, 4 1/2 5" 6" 7" 7 1/2 ,8 1/2 9 1/2 10 inches fold and score down well open up your page flip over the fun part
the 2 that have one inch, you are going to glue these 2 together keeping that half inch gap between so you end up with 3 peaks mitre the corners of these 3 as it makes it easier to place the pages over the top.
i like to have a inch you can make it half an inch, but i find again that i know i have lots of photos so the higher it goes up into the pages the more secure it will be .
ok, now , you have your pages ready, here i also glue and red tape the outer of the outer one inch the tape holds it firmly, but the glue allows you to move it if need be
grab your first page ,slide the opening at the bottom over the one inch high hinge. remember up the top i said the 4 inch sleeve will become your hinge this is it press down firmly , now i  just open each page and just rub it so it opens up , do the same with the other 2 pages you have created
another tip is if you have loads more photos when you have finished like i did in my mickey mouse album i have created a constina pages on the actual back inside cover here are the sizes of that.
cut 2 sheets 8 inches by 12 inches score at 85cm, 170.&  255 the rest of card can be glued to your inside back over that you already have covered with paper ,before gluing down again i have added ribbon and wrapped around to tie in a bow .
i also added inside those a waterfall photos
well thats it hope you enjoyed making your own book i hope i havent missed any parts out
time to cover your album andadd photos
please pm on facebook,/messsenger if you get stuck . and i will  see what i can do to help you im hoping i havent missed any good parts out ..

 some variations
you can cut a  5 inch square and score at half and inchon all roursidesandcut on the diagonal and place on one of your plain pages to createanother pocket
another idea  i dont think i wrote im getting tired so not sure if i have written it yet i will read tomorrow  to  make sure i havent missed anything out

cut  paper  10 inches by 7 inches , score at top half inch and left hand side
cut  the width you like  this will form a L shape  for a pocket
