White with One December Challenge

Thanks  for  this great colour and a great year. of  wonderful colour challenges, Blue is my favourite colour , any sort of blue hues,

Using  my  Decembers  Mystery pack from  The Resin Rainbow as my guide,  I thought, what can iIdo with material ? ? ? ?

it had me for a few days, but today, i started  to cut it up into smaller portions,  then it hit me,  make a pleats  instead of just keeping it  flat, i have cut one section flat and placed it down the left hand side of the page,
then  pleated 2 other  bits of material. around the photo.

I have used an overlay  from project life overlays, and cut it in half to add more  doilies effect, over the top of the  strip.
using the  mystery pack alphabets, i have  made my word ,DUTCH DANCING,

I have used Kaiser Porcelain Rose patterned paper ( not that you can see much of it )  and with  my Kaiser  stencil and gesso, have added some  to the page, i had sprinkled some  glitter over it ,but some of it had green in it ,and that was not on, so covered  it with the patterned  resin  and only left  a tiny bit of the plain white design on the left hand side,

I  did a class a card class at  workshop wonders, at he beginning of December, and they  had this beautiful lace flower, but most of it was going to be  hidden, which i thought was a shame, as it was so pretty, so ,  when the teacher was not looking , i cut it out and then put the section over it, before the teacher came back. really came in handy today,  i have added another  part of  the mystery  pack  flower over the top as  the centre of the flower for depth,

the bow, is from a rak ( random act of kindness, ) which several of us ladies are doing for  Christmas  I have been receiving some lovely stuff in the mail, which i hope i can use  for several layouts
 over the months ahead.

I have cut up the  blue block form the resin pack and placed it as if   it was a floor. at the bottom of the photo.

i have added some blue dots that were from a Christmas pack,  just the right blue, and have inked around the edge in blue.

The story about the photo of me dancing,
I only did one class, learnt  7 dances  that day and the following day,  did  it in front of a crowded  room  for a  demonstration ( most scary ) ,as the  the person, that was to do it, got really sick the week before and hadn't been out of bed,  they were short a person, so i  filled in,   never again  did i learn more dutch dancing,  the teacher  told me i was good and did i want to  teach in future,  no way. i said,

Well, another year almost over,  where has the year gone,

Wishing everyone  a Merry  Christmas and a  Happy Scrapping New Year

thanks for looking ,

Sketchy Boards Decembers Challenge

Today, i have  used pink bassill cardstock  -  soft pink
 2 Silver bells  6 x 6 inch   paper  Sheets
scallop pink edge, Silver Bells sticker sheet
With the frame in the middle , is from Kaiser Blue Bray collectables and the flowers at the top left hand corner are also from  same collectable pack.
I have sprayed a bit on to a scrap paper and then with my finger, smeared  leather colour shimmer from Colour Blast ( this is a new product , sold at  Scrap Elegence, owner is Tenisha who also  makes the  embossing powders, texture paste to go with the sprays.  so they all match, there are some amazing colours  . check them out on her website.

blue  punching is from  xmas Rak from Jan Lia
Blue spot paper is also from Jan Lai xmas Rak
vellum sheet
 blue ribbon,
white ribbon made into   pink using  -  Kaiser  fairy floss ink

small roses bought from  Neha Auzz Trinklets N Krafts
white roses sprayed with Kaiser Denim Spray mist then straight over   ( while wet) with Mister Hueys Opaque White colour spray to make the  colour lighter.
passtime crafts 3D gem stickers

the sign in the middle says, before scrapbooking took over my craft room, I used to make Bridal Bouquets, i have made a small  bouquet,  near the bottom of the page, using the roses and some pink and blue ribbon,  with the blue ribbon, i had a  ribbon maker, but in my moving of things, have misplaced the pongs, so i used paddle pop sticks and trimmed it down to fit sort of in the small holes, and tie the ribbon, i really did not have enough ribbon  to make a bigger bow, just some scrap ribbon
 but it made it anyway,

Wishing you all  a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Scrapping New Year

cheers,
Jacqui

123 Decembers Challenge

Thanks  very much for this challenge. Earlier this year, I did a class with the lovely Trina Mclune from New Zealand.  Ive been wanting to do  this  photo, but   just haven't had the time to  make it happen, when I saw Decembers challenge, i knew this what i was meant to wait for,

A few years ago, my friends and I  went online to buy  the  lucky 8 punches, we then spent a day playing with each others. I used  just black and white papers,  easy to  use on a layout,   I thought,   i would use this one,  ( who would have thought that 4 years later,  i would need the  name of the punch that i worked on. and writing on my own blog )

At one of my last months challenges, one of the design members , suggested that i play with some  white inks on black . I must admit, it has a stunning effect  and will  endeavor to use it more.
I have used, Versa Magic Cloud White for some butterflies and StazOn jet black for smaller butterflies & rose buds

I have used                 Kaiser Hello today  - 2015 & camera.
Kaszazz mini letters -  just perfect,  have been placed on  white fundamentals                                                                          tag pack
the stamping -             i have  used butterflies and  rose buds
paper flowers are from  Creative memories
the white flower is from what i cut out of a card class, it seemed such a shame to cover most of the flower this  are from Belle Paperie.

 thank you so much ,

looking forward to  2016 challenges, when i have time,

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a  Happy Scrapping New Year.

cheers
Jacqui

Kraft Plus December Challenge

Thanks , Kraft plus for this great challenge,  with most of the challenges doing Christmas  it was be a  nice change to start my challenges off with  my New Zealand  Flight  back  home, i did do this page when i started  the book in 2004, but have been going though re doing the  pages with the lovely papers they now have in  stores,

With my last sheet of Kraft paper,  and a few scraps for matting,  i thought i would do my last page of my album and hopefully work back

I have used :- Kaiser  Pack your Bags maps and Wanderlust papers
Also used were the  Novembers Kaiser stencil -  Nautical quarters in Sail Away

As you can see, i have used  the actual plane ticket on my layout,

I used to do square dancing ,&  37 of us went to  New Zealand on a 18 day  tour seeing all of both islands & dancing in  6 places on both islands. It was a wonderful experience, we had great weather. it was not til we  flew back to Sydney, that we   got severe storms and were grounded for 3 hours, before coming home at midnight,  in Brisbane while our families waited at the bus stop at mt gravatt,  most of  the families did not have 2 mobile phones, so  my hubby had left home, before we got to Sydney,  so he sat in the car in the pouring rain,  at the bus stop for 3 hours with other fellow  members. while we sat in Sydney Airport watching the pouring rain.

When i started this  challenge, in march,  i never had used Kraft paper  before,  now in the new year, will have to purchase more, if im to continue with challenges

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a  Wonderful Exciting  &  Adventurous  New Year.
thanks for stopping by.

 See you all next year.

Sketchy Boards November Challenge

Thanks Sketchy Boards   for this great sketch & colour palette. I really love these colours together.

Starting with Kaiser Fairy Dust Collection P1967  Pixie, I endeavored to change the appearance a bit. I started using  gesso, then remembered  half way thought, that i was going  to use gelatos and texture paste would be better suited for  this,   as it turned, I  only used the  Gelatos  a little bit  as i changed my min
d again , this happens  you start off going one way,  &   do something else along the  way,

Using Kaiser - T602 Damask stencil,  texture paste over it and while still on there, i sprayed  with a mixture of  Kaiser denim  mists , Dylusions After Midnight  sprays,  &  a touch of Mister Hueys opaque white colour mists. as some of it was a bit dark. left it there a few minutes to  set a little,  after taking off the stencil, ive got some wet ones and  blotted up any  blotches &  dabbed them around the edges.

I've had in my scraps, some  paper with bats on, & thought, its either throw it away or use,  so i have made  them with the strips, just showing a bit of the  bats for  depth.

At the recent craft show at southport, i purchased, in a section where one makes hats,  some flowers

Also in my stash, ive had the , sparklets, Butterflies, glass  buttons,  flowers & swirls  which I have placed around . the layout.

In White with one  November challenge, i  purchased a mystery pack  from the Resin Rainbow,   I paid $5.00 for my mystery pack,  & had some left over pieces, (still have more)  so here i have used the leaves under my flowers
on the left hand of the page, i  have used the  Martha  Stewart punch to create a border along in purple cardstock.
i have painted  one chipboard circle with dylusions spray and the other one with Faber-Castell Gelatos light purple

hope  you enjoy my layout, as much as i really enjoyed creating this page this afternoon. Im extremely pleased with my result today.

Using  my 6 inch cricut machine, and the art booking  cartridge, ive  cut out the word Halloween.

until next month, not long to go.

White with one

White with one  challenge our one color this month is grape

I received  my first mystery pack  to start my challenge, as i was away ,when it came, im not sure it the heat, did it , or just being in the hot house ,while we were away, but some of my pack had melted  so i  made the best with what i had ,no problems.

As it was i ended up cutting up most  of the patterned part, i have used the flowers & what parts i could use,

with my cricut machine and my new cartridge, i created the word Halloween, webs &  picket fence,
I went to a craft show on the 14th November & found some feathers ( that's designed for making  fastanators but my mind went  to thinking of making it look part of spiders web, i have also wound it around the  embellishments ( from mystery pack )
i have used a kaiser stamp for a bit of background effect and  some frosted lace stickles

at the craft show, i have also purchased a witches stamp,  from Ectectic Images  Art stamps  & scrapbook papers.
i have some X-press it  glitter deco tape in purple
i have popped my photo  up with foam dots, to make it look like im flying.

123 October challenge

thanks  for this great challenge,

I recently went  away for the weekend and came home via  a different way, we stopped at a creek to take some photos, ( i don't usually paddle in creeks,  but my feet were swollen)  it wasn't til i got home & saw your challenge , that i thought , what  a great  colours to work on these photos

Colour - Lime
Word   - Today
Tech   -  Spots

 I have used black cardstock.
then with 2 stencils, on lime green card stock i have used white gesso,

i have put the stencils on top of each other one likes rays the other spots to create the background,

I love Kaiser Limelight collection,  but did not want to overpower it with papers so with the collectables and a bit of gauge . i bent the leaves for depth and popped up a few  flowers,
i used collage photos and coloured with green background on the page then matted it with black.

I have popped the word today and the bird as well.

until next month, not sure i will have time next month to do challenges,  but will see how i go,

leaving tomorrow for 10  days holiday, so  beach, sand,  hopefully sun, fishing & my cousins are calling in  )when i return home its back to  taking people to appointments,  ( im the driver for all family members, i better stay healthy )

may have  a few days at home  in  November,  ohh dear then its Christmas time, another hectic  month,  ( now where am i with my Christmas cards makes  ? ? ?)

where did the year go ? ? ? ?

until next time  have fun, enjoy  scrapping .

white with 1 October challenge

i have lots of ink pads tthat i bought on the cheap, wondering if  stamping would take a hold of me,when i started scrapping many years ago,  i do have lots of lvoely stamps now, but rarely think of them on layouts  but on cards,  but those 1st lot of cheap ink pads,  that i bought are still sitting there, as i  love all the new ones that come out, hence, they are almost dried up, so i thought it does not matter , what i do with them i dont have reinkers for them.

with this in mind, the challenge of the month, peach puff, , so i got out my ink pads( only one  orange of) couture creations craft mat, water spritzer inked my  mat, sprayed water on the ink  pad a bit of white gesso, and mixed to the consistency i wanted,
My Kaiser Stencil, brick work, does wonders for  this layout of the church at Casino, i  brushed the  ink over  the stencil,
Then with  recently  bought stamps from Casino, I  used , kaiser lattice and morocco clear stamps with left over  gesso & ink around the page.

i have lots of chipboards , so going though,  I found one that had trees and brick work, well the trees can do for another layout, inking it with Dew Drop Brilliance moonlight white  ( which i just love)
I inked the fence, words  bricks and swirls.

i recently, won  a prize from Close to my Heart September challenge and just picked it up today, and  wow theres apricot  embellishments just the right colour, here i have added  hearts, arrow, and stars to the layout.

The flowers are a mixture of prima flowers and ribbon flowers, which soe  have  inked just the edges
I have used, glossy accents on the words  Casino Church.

 until next month,
thanks for stopping by,
oh , just noticed that the  flash on the photo.

paper addicts October challenge

hi all, well, i know its been a while, since ive done any challenges and well, im not fully recovered as yet,  still sore,  but doctors assure me , that i have now  a pulled muscles  from all the coughing i ave done, but thought ,after my great weekend away, scrapping for the first time in over a month, i  thought i would start this challenge for paper addicts  using the double layout  sketch,

here is the sketch  and i have just realized, that i have a extra photo in my double layout , but never mind, all will be good

I recently won from Kraft Plus august challenge a prize from Sawyers Place in Western Australia, &  the prize came  yesterday ,it is lovely receiving  gifts in the post, something that does not happen too much  here at our house.

So I  have started with black cardstock, but then thought, that i have had some acetate papers with the words road trip are we there yet, which i must admit, ive had for many years , too many to count,  you have been there, i will use it one day, well, now is the time to start using these  items as im getting older and i have paid for them , not  to  sit in the cupboard to be admired. i have cut it up so it could be used over 2 pages, so  then i got out my white card stock, which showed up the words so much better than the black.
As i said i  received my prize from Sawyer Place in it  was some Tyre Washi Tape, and i have had a car washi tape since they became fashion,
I have Sugar & spice Outdoor Adventure,  60 paper pack in my stash, ( yes, i do  use other papers other than my addiction for Kaiser papers)  the cars seems to be the right paper for our adventure, that my friends & I went on over last weekend, a trip to Casino.

the motel we  got at casino  was the last 2 rooms, so we were lucky to get it and so close to everything , that we needed for the weekend , just around the corner  from scrapbooking class.   clubs, and a bit of sight seeing ,as  well set our clocks one hour ahead, but arrived over one hour early for the class ,we  were al lso o keen to start classes at  9am which did not start til 10am, so we drove around and did some sight seeing and i took some photos for hopefully more challenges  to do this week.
until  next time  tanks for dropping in

white with one september challenge

i have recently bought a new camera, i will have to try &  read the instructions a bit more, before adding more  challenges to the blog, i dont seem to have  got  the settings right just yet, still practicing,

for my sept, challenge , thanks white with one, great colour,

ive started  with cutting out a circle and adding moss ribbon to  it, ( the ribbon is not as dark as the picture indicates)  it would not take with  the glue i had, so stapling in the next best thing to attaching  the ribbon,

ive punched some scrap paper with my favourite Martha Stewart  punch,
and added bling to the sections,

also added are tiny white flowers

and have used  my cricut machine, using   cartridge, art booking to make my  design under the photo

here is my layout.

sketchy boards challenge

 hi, how is everyone today,
for my layout last night that i created, I've used Kaisers Shaken not Stirred  paper collection, that i have had in my  cupboards, since they came out, just waiting to be used, as soon as i saw the  colours  with the sketch, i knew these are what im using, of course,  the photo  was another  matter, i  thought that i have used all of my nephews photos of him in Paris,  but last night ,while going though more, i found this one of Greg trying to eat snails,  must only be in Paris

I dont do much fussy cutting if i  can get out of it, but have  fussy cut the papers  and the mini circles and the large white circle,  that's enough cutting for me,
the frame , i bought at  the Reject shop in Capalaba in Brisbane, qld.

well, better get off here, may do another challenge this avo,  or just have a sort and put all my stuff away from this challenge,

until next month, have fun

lowood and surrounds crafty group September challenge

spring  is in the air, i usually think of flowers, when spring arrives,

 spring is to be used

after creating this layout, i thought,  gosh, it was the other challenge on another site that had to use, lots of flowers, but not too worry, its here  now and posted, will have to think of something else for that other challenge ,hehe.

Here i have created my layout, using my lucky 8 punch, that has the flower punch in it ,

I have used Kaiser papaya  card stock. echo park paper sticker accents for the name, which had the name spring fever,

ive added  at camp using   creative memories  alphabet sticker sheet,
artwrap self adhesive lace tape, was bought at kaisercraft at Robina. i have found in my stash some pink rick rac,

the large flower is  hand made from krafters Korner , such pretty paper, it was really hard to cut up to make the flower that i wanted to create,

i have added the same paper pack to matt the photo instead of card stock.
have  added flowers from Porta Craft hand made embellishments
& also flowers from  my 2 Angels,
I have also sprinkled from the left over  punch tiny flowers and added bling to  the mix, just love bling,

thanks for viewing

Kraft plus September challenge

I  created  Septembers challenge at my first camp,
last weekend at Mt Tambourine, Qld

Using kraft card stock, i added Kaiser Xmas paper &  matted black Kaiser card stock  & added 3 photos

I have also used shine Bright paper and blended my red and yellow Kaiser Mists together to make orange, as i needed some for another layout

At  Camp, the organizer, Jodie Barnes, gave us some papers to do a challenge also, so i have used the opposite side of the papers to make my triangles and do some journalling on one of them,

The Christmas tree is created from  the new Kaiser stencil Christmas Quarters.
Also, i have added the chevrons from shine bright, from the sticker sheet of Kaiser,

lastly, i have splattered,  red , flicks from my mist spray.

Wednesday, 16 September 2015

so here we are ,  the middle of the month and i haven't posted any challenges up as yet,

i have done one, which i did at a recent camp, last weekend,  but i would like to add more to it, before posting it  up, all my other challenges, that i would like to do are bagged up, ready to go, they went up to Mt  Tamborine for the camp, but somehow, i  was really enjoying myself, meeting new people,  doing some classes, as well, as   having facials, foot massages and of course, taking photos, and of course the wonderful food that   they feed us,   all the bags came home  undone,  i did do some layouts, but they  were not challenges, and still need titles on them to finish.

I also had a table selling some of my over flowing stash,  so now back to my usual normality of getting something done, hopefully next  week,  after i finish unpacking  and putting stuff away again,

thanks for catching up , hopefully  next week ,i will have  layout up for all to see.
good inght

Scrap with us, mood board

For a change, i haven't used kaiser papers,
Marion Smith paper  collection -  Romance Ch.2
I had left over some bits of paper, in the centre was sections of it cut out for another page, i have distressed all the edges and  then , using my lucky  8 punch for a shaped design, 8 inch x 8 inch, placed pink card stock over the top of  the hole,

Using  the collectables of Kaiser, Cherry Blossom, I have inked around the edges and bend them to give more height.
Also adding kaiser bling, i have cut it up into pieces to make them  flow around the page.

scrap with us, sketch challenge

this sketch challenge of Jody Urquhart, is from scrap with us.

You will notice, that i have not used any car stock, only patterned papers from the collection of
Kaiser Lavender Haze.

from the sticker sheet of the same collection, i have added  fireflies and bling

Kaiser August Challenge

Thanks Kaiser for this great challenge.

Today. I have  used the new Time machine collection papers. Steam Engine and clocks.

time machine sticker sheet for words, clock &  cogs.
Stamps i have used are  all  Kaiser, -  shine bright, scrap yard. little dot ,
           bling,  black

other products
i have used another stamp, not sure of whets its name is for specks.
metal cogs from my 2 angels, which i have gesso and blotted brown ink on
           stars are proxy stars
i have distressed all the edges,

the little dot stamp has been smeared with gesso and randomly put on without a block. for that roughed up effect,

this layout, is a bit different from my usual neat and tidy, girlie pages that i usually do, but did have fun creating something a bit different.

layout called , By the Light,  with my brother Terry , changing his Tyre in the light.

sketchy boards august challenge

looking at the door, made me think of base coat papers,  of course the doorknob , umm which papers do i have in that sort of collection, lilic avenue or lavender haze,  i might just have some scraps left of each, i know i use a lot of these papers,  yes, i have found some scraps of these so to get my banners, i have used my cricut machine, Close to my Heart -  Art philosophy cartridge and used different sizes to get  the max of  what i required.
next  comes the circles, they are cut with the ebosser,
The chipboard letters are from kaszazz. just love these letters not too big or too small, and have coloured it with dew Drop Brilliance  pearleascent  lavender ink.
the 2015 is  Kaiser  sticker sheet.
i have also made some orchids using Maryanne design Collectables orchid die, which i purchased  from Fat Cats  store in Toowoomba, i  emailed them and asked if they were coming to the june show in Brisbane and  that i could collect it on the Monday,   even though a bit fiddly, i love it and have used it many times,  thinking about making some cards  for an upcoming orchid show  and also birthday cards.

White with one august challenge with custard

for a change,  i have started my layout with Amy Tangerine ready - set - go,  35786 patterned paper & added my white kaiser cardstock above. & distressing around the edges

thinking about the photos of my nephew, in Holland, i remembered that i bought some chipboard ,so getting out my gesso and Kaiser mist, yellow,  i blended them together to hopefully get a custard look.

Holland ,usually means tulips, i know that i have some stickers somewhere ,that i bought years ago, but the rearranging of the room  means they haven't been sorted yet.
so had to think of another way to add a tulip, half a circle and some triangles did the trick. i used, foundations  core-dinations  custard cardstock  i have  added some washie tape to the triangles and 2 photos in half the circle the third is patterned paper from another range of  scraps, that i have stored.

until next month,
have a wonderful day.

Kraft Plus august challenge

thanks  very much for this relaxing challenge,

this afternoon, instead of thinking of lying down with my headache, i decided to do some doodling instead, headache almost gone. will go and rest now.

Im going though all my 70's photos and trying to get them all  scrapped one way or another, and when i saw the  doodling, i knew exactly which photos to get out of the album. I will  do a double page of this one, but don't know where all the people are to  get their permission ( to publish)  to scrap them, so they will be on a separate page. maybe go pocket style with them.

it was easy just to sit and ponder about the night my mum made the dress for me to wear to my friends engagement party, all those physic colours were in ,but i chose the maroon and white material.

so for today, words to think of just to be different, i was going to put  ME, then got out papers, no don't need papers with this one, but that word groovy looked interesting ,and so my page began.

I have had some Cristina Re  designer  diamante buckles for a while and with some black ribbon which i made double  threaded it though and added it across the page.
my belt  on my dress &  around my neck was black  swede ribbon,

hope you like it , thanks very much again
lots of fun.

pixels and paper july challenge

oh love the colour this month,

getting out these items from my cupboard,

 white Kaiser card stock,
the Crafters workshop stencil -  dots
Derivan blue kindy glitz,
Ranger Distress Crackle paint - picket fence
I proceeded  to splotch over the design,

I made some dots on the corner, but afterwards, i did no like it , ohh, how to change it now,
So out to the kitchen to get my big clear dinner plate to cut the circle out.
my photo  used to be a large long photo, here i have used shaped dies that i bought in a special  group of  ones  and hadn't used them , but thinking today, i wanted a different shape instead of my usual square or circle photos, yes, why not,
At the same time i  got out my kaiser die, i was thinking of adding the whole swirls to the layout, but it just was not working, so then thought, why not make the swirls smaller, and thought of just little bits from under the photos,  but then ended up all of them under the photo. ( one photo made into 3 )

I use this blue all the time ,and then wondered after i cut the circle, gosh , i  hope now i have the right blue to put under it , its pretty close, i will have to go to the shop and buy lots more blue  card stock again. soon. as i use this a lot in my layouts.

I have inked white Dew Drop Brilliance - white around the edge of card stock & also  the View from the top on my chipboard letters,
Also have sprinkled  some enamel dots  around the page.
around the edge of the inner circle, i have with my finger, smeared with some blue kindy glitz

Paper Craft July Challenge

thanks ada for this lovely challenge. of making flowers and the  sketch.

For my double layout, i have chosen krafters korner papers, as well as  card stock

which way to go with my flowers,  I have chosen to go with organza and silk flowers, After cutting out lots of circles in various sizes,  i then got my candle, (  that i made  a few years ago) and started to  light  the edges, being careful  not to burn them, i did use some find lace as well, but it just makes a hole in it,
i have added to some centres, some  hot glue & added artingredients micro beads as well as some bling flowers and swirls,

until next month looking forward to next months challenge

sketchy boards July challenge

thanks sketchy boards for this great sketch and colour with frames  challenge,

At first glance, i noticed the embossing on the white, oh thats so pretty, i should  do something like that, as i have an embosser  and the folders , I dont use very much after wanting to get them for so long,
I embossed  my white card stock , then with my Dew Drop Brilliance, that I bought from scrap matts, i smeared over  the raised section, & punched with Martha Stewart punch

Next to get out stencils Porta craft frame and with the  gold ink i rubbed over the stencil over the white card stock in 2 places,

Around the edges i have used Easy Stitches and in black tomboy pen, gone around the outside  to give a border. i had started with only 2 edges, but it looked unfinished. so did the lot.

I have used a  Kaiser stamp with writing on, using StazOn - jet black ink

In my abundance of stickers i found some border stickers, hearts and ovals frames &  flowers to add to the page.

I have  bought, the other day, some gold fabric flowers from Smart kraft  from Choice. which has little pearls on the back of the flowers,
The little blue flower is from Tracy from My 2 Angels, Tracey has some lovely flowersas well ,as many other trinkets .

The frame, i have also inked with the Dew drop galaxy gold

last year at  a retreat, i received some gold flakes, im not really sure that they do anything for me, but being gold, thought, that they might fill in a patch that looked fairly blank.

with Amy Tangerine Stencils, i  smeared with my finger, some gesso after a few minutes, sprinkled the flakes over it, then shook off the excess,
hope you like my  layout,
thanks for challenge,
until next time

white with 1 July challenge

Thanks for  this challenge,

My 1st thoughts were to get out my stencils, ( which i thought i should use more &  gesso, ) so in to my paints, sprays and inks, amazingly i didn't have any of these colours to match the challenge,
 ummm
lets see,  what Kaiser papers do i have in this colour, start at A-  I did not get very far, when i remembered that Belle Collection has this very colour, so it began, i  different idea would emerge.

After sorting out some goods i recently bought, i came across some thread which just happened to be the colour, i did not plan on sewing, but instead of finding a home for  such the little thread, why not use it, it took me a few days to finish the sewing, as out a far bit of late,

Saturdays is my day with mum, but decided too cold today &  and i wanted to finish this , so i can start my next challenge , while i have a few days free.

As my White card stock as my base, then with my  sewing , i used Hot off the Press -   paper piercing Patterns in a scallop edge & pieced the holes in and then sewed them

I went on a scrapbooking  bus trip  to toowoomba recently & found some lovely Blue Fern Studios Clipboards,  Today I used Boston lattice, & matted my photo on with some card stock onto the lattice,

Searching though, my abundance of project life  journal cards, this smile card just the right colour combination. white with one colour,
Also sitting on the table i found this lace doily and bits of belle collections  6 inch papers,  I round cornered them
In to my flower stash,  is Smart Kraft Fabric flowers  and krafters korner ribbon flowers,  so i arranged these
The moments in time is another chipboard, from a craft shop.

I have  stamped these  with
 a  verse
lattice with a butterfly  with drew drop Brilliance  moonlight white ink,
 & used  Kaiser stamp.
i have also found some white pearls, which i bought from my friend Sharon Pick,
until next month
have a wonderful day.

Kaisercraft July Mood Board Challenge

Thanks Kaiser for this great challenge and to my lovely friend who suggested that I give  Kaiser challenge   a try.

To my friends, im  the Kaiser lady, as I have so many papers,  stamps, inks &  the  collectables, that hang from my craft room door and now cringe when i open & close the door,  really,  maybe im addicted or ( obsessed )
i just love to know that my money is going to a Australian company.

I really started when Kaiser was quite small  (  to me unknown)  and have the very 1st issue  book,&  in those days was able to keep up with their stuff, these days, im finding it difficult to keep up with all the new ranges and life is more hectic since i retired from work. i remember &  still have the 1st tissue box that  i made,  but this is not about going down memory lane,

When i first saw the colours, my first thoughts were , what papers do I have in my cupboard, with  these colours, maybe limelight, or velvet crush, maybe la di da, but that has pink in it ,no reject that  idea,  maybe go down to Kaiser and check out the new range, oh wow,  that Botanic is just so lovely, im not into greens mostly, but  that is so lovely.

While there i wandered and thought about my friends birthdays coming up, so in the basket they went ,got to  the check out and thought,  gosh, i really would like it , but ( A) do i have the room to put it,  or be,  will i have enough money  to buy it ,(lol) so decided on just getting the 6 inch paper pad and the collectables, and see what i can create with that,  that would be a start.

So on that  note, I started my layout. most times, i start with the card stock, but for a change, i thought i would do it different, so, I have chosen  Kaiser Velvet Crush paper as my base & then cut my Kaiser white Coconut  card stock  29 x 29. I then thought, i would like a stencil which one to choose, something girlie, is i had picked out a photo of myself, one  i haven't used  yet, from Kaiser, , of  course, its the  Kaiser quarter  stencils, flora, out came my gesso & spread it over, so let it dry, while i have tea.

Next came out my Kaiser inks, i have chosen Kaiser IP 704 Amethyst and Kaiser IP703 Moss  have spread over some of the design.

I then  picked out  papers that interested me from  the new collection, Kaiser Botanic and some from the velvet crush  & started to create,
I have also used Kaiser Licorice to add in between some of the papers for added depth.

I don't usually measure,  what ever does with me, a nip here or  cut there,  ( only at class if asked to )
I have torn parts of the Kaiser white coconut  card stock and placed some small collectables underneath,

The only parts that are not Kaiser is the rose and the butterflies, which i received as a ramdom prize winner in April,   everything else is Kaiser products,  even the bling on the butterflies is Kaisers  bling.
I have typed out the date and printed out and put on one of the cards from the Botanic collectables, and placed several others word captions   around the  layout,

As you may notice, i have inked around the papers and embellishments

Hope you like it, I  had fun and look forward to doing more challenges with you. until next month,
have a great day.

paper craft addicts card challenge

thanks paper craft  for this challenge

I love anything that's a bit different, and love pop up layouts and cards, at a recent  show, i saw these pop up cards and thought, well, that would be different,

so today, i made it for the challenge, after  a few boo boos,  like cutting   the size without really thinking at first which was  the flowers are going to look on the card , pasted it down, then realized the flowers  and leaves were all upside down,  and i went and stuck them down with that nice  red sticky tape, didn't in.
i know i have a few flaws in it, but i know my mum wont mind and wont know, if i don't say anything. she just loves anything, i  hand make. her birthday is tomorrow, the same days as the Story Bridges turns 75,

mum told me that she remembers when the bridge opened in Brisbane, my  mum is 8 years older,
anyway,   better stop chatting

scrap with us July challenge

July, where has  April, May and June gone,  July, challenges,

This is for  Scrap with Us challenge.  Jody Urquhart  So here it is...The July Sketch
I would like to see your background as any other shape but square on this one! The sketch uses a hexagon I have also created a funky ribbon banner on this one rather than your everyday type banner!
Can't wait to see what you create!

so , here is my version, of course, the shape i started off with was not square but another shape, but it did not look  right with my photo, & so to look for something that has brown in it and this is what i came up with.   i  have started off  using red card stock as my base..
and added a brown zigzag paper. In my stash i also have some scraps, you know, one day , you will finish that layout you did 3 years ago, with  the left over papers,  well, the colours were just the right colours of my dress,

Here I have used the patterned papers of konnichiwa, my friends will be in shock its not Kaiser. i have used  the fabric  flowers of the same  collection.   The red and green flowers are from Little Birdie Holiday Elements, i had planned to use these on my Christmas cards this year, but oh well, they looked so well together and matched my dress perfectly.
Actually the pretend lace is from a 6 inch paper pad of Kaisers, which  I haven't  got the name to. which is unusual for me, as i usually know all the names of the collections,
The ribbons for the banner, are from the Christmas  crackers,  so i have kept  them in a little clear box, and when i require small batches of ribbon,  i can use these instead of getting out the big roll.
the title i just typed on my trusty computer and printed them out onto a4 card that i buy from the cheap shop its really nice quality card and goes though the printer without any hang ups
