Thanks Kaiser for this great challenge and to my lovely friend who suggested that I give Kaiser challenge a try.
To my friends, im the Kaiser lady, as I have so many papers, stamps, inks & the collectables, that hang from my craft room door and now cringe when i open & close the door, really, maybe im addicted or ( obsessed )
i just love to know that my money is going to a Australian company.
I really started when Kaiser was quite small ( to me unknown) and have the very 1st issue book,& in those days was able to keep up with their stuff, these days, im finding it difficult to keep up with all the new ranges and life is more hectic since i retired from work. i remember & still have the 1st tissue box that i made, but this is not about going down memory lane,
When i first saw the colours, my first thoughts were , what papers do I have in my cupboard, with these colours, maybe limelight, or velvet crush, maybe la di da, but that has pink in it ,no reject that idea, maybe go down to Kaiser and check out the new range, oh wow, that Botanic is just so lovely, im not into greens mostly, but that is so lovely.
While there i wandered and thought about my friends birthdays coming up, so in the basket they went ,got to the check out and thought, gosh, i really would like it , but ( A) do i have the room to put it, or be, will i have enough money to buy it ,(lol) so decided on just getting the 6 inch paper pad and the collectables, and see what i can create with that, that would be a start.
So on that note, I started my layout. most times, i start with the card stock, but for a change, i thought i would do it different, so, I have chosen Kaiser Velvet Crush paper as my base & then cut my Kaiser white Coconut card stock 29 x 29. I then thought, i would like a stencil which one to choose, something girlie, is i had picked out a photo of myself, one i haven't used yet, from Kaiser, , of course, its the Kaiser quarter stencils, flora, out came my gesso & spread it over, so let it dry, while i have tea.
Next came out my Kaiser inks, i have chosen Kaiser IP 704 Amethyst and Kaiser IP703 Moss have spread over some of the design.
I then picked out papers that interested me from the new collection, Kaiser Botanic and some from the velvet crush & started to create,
I have also used Kaiser Licorice to add in between some of the papers for added depth.
I don't usually measure, what ever does with me, a nip here or cut there, ( only at class if asked to )
I have torn parts of the Kaiser white coconut card stock and placed some small collectables underneath,
The only parts that are not Kaiser is the rose and the butterflies, which i received as a ramdom prize winner in April, everything else is Kaiser products, even the bling on the butterflies is Kaisers bling.
I have typed out the date and printed out and put on one of the cards from the Botanic collectables, and placed several others word captions around the layout,
As you may notice, i have inked around the papers and embellishments
Hope you like it, I had fun and look forward to doing more challenges with you. until next month,
have a great day.
