Black and White Gesso

we have visitors at the moment ,so its a quick come on here &  then back  the visitors, while they are  having lunch, yesterday ,before they came,   i  placed the butterfly   stencil onto my  teal  card stock. and smeared  over  first with  white gesso, and also  black while still wet,  after drying, i then assembled the rest of my page,

white with 1 may challenge

White with one colour, -   deep   black,
its funny  i had just been putting away some  black & white papers & wondered,  white with  one hasn't come up with black yet,  but   on the 1st may, i checked and  there is it , so out came my  papers again
im  early this month, as im getting visitors  next week  dont know how long for , and so  challenges will be out of the question to do , so  have to get though them all this week if possible, ( and rest  LOl)

to today, i have used white cardstock,
Using Black gesso and my new Kaiser  foliage  mini design template, i have  smeared over  the white cardstock and  cut  out what  i didn't want,  to use,
i have then used  Abi"s craft black and white stripes paper  i was nearly going to  use  more , but then you would not see the white cardstock, so  will use the rest on another layout  to make my page a double layout,  in my  album
 in my abundance of stash, i found some black  ric rac from  my 2 angels

some of the white flowers i have  coloured   with my black pen, and anything  green got coloured as well, with black pen.

I have my black sharpie and with   a Mothers Art  butterflies, have  coloured them in black ,  they look great, although i do love  all the of the many colours  that  A Mothers Art butterflies have,  10 colours to choose from  ( not black )
 the word is some black   letters ive had for ages,
 some   flowers are from  Tjs, scrapping  with style

Happy Easter everyone  hope you re enjoying school holidays for those who have children,   or just a  nice break from work, for those who are retired well , life's a beach, hey.
going along with beachy theme this month ,as yesterday  i  took my mum to  redcliffe  ( in Brisbane )

today,   i have created this layout,  using  White cardstock,
with Kaiser  nuital stencils & Drew Drop Brilliance  Sky Blue  ink

Using a tiny bit of  my new collection of Indigo Skies patterned paper  as matting   im trying to use up scraps  as well, so found a bubble  vellum paper to  add  behind my photo as  well
I have sponged with bubble wrap to create  the circles  around the photo and  stencils
Seagulls are from  Attic, i have inked 2 of the gulls and left  one  just natural.
in my stash off many things i found a  seaside shed from  Close to my Heart Seaside Compliments My Reflections pack
the blue flowers are  just out of my  abundance of flower & bling supply,  to  add dimension
i have inked around all edges, as i find it  brings  my layout together.
the washi tape is very appropriate  for   creating   sky, seagulls   effect,  ive had for years & wont ever part with it , i love it ,
I have  used  my computer  to create special  effects   on the  word Redcliffe  Jetty &  inked around the edges, & using my Kaiser trimmer with the blade of pinking , have again inked around the edges,

What a beautiful   combination of pink, beautiful &  hearts,  for this months challenge,

 i hope everyone is having a good Easter,

One of my friends Penny, gave me some Kaiser papers she did not want any more  on my birthday ,so  went though them to see what  she   had in the pink line , i  have pink, but am doing a baby album and dont want to run out of it , now that  ( our) the   Kaiser store has closed only  3  klms away, at Browns plains and the other  at  Robina, so  getting this stock wont be as easy to get now, so  now trying to use what i can for what i bought them for, instead of all the challenges,  have to watch what i use now,

so today ive  used  a   different collections of Kaisers  some from Penny's  stash and some from  mine  scraps of
Kaiser Ballet   ( pink ) cardstock

a2z scraplets march challenge

MARCH CHALLENGE
hoping all are safe with family and friends  with   ex cyclone   Debbie,

my family had appointments for Thursday and Friday (  me the driver )  but with  ex Debbie, looming over the south east qld,  hospitals and drs rang  me today to cancel and reschedule , yaa , two  free days to scrap
my  chipboard is  a2z LOVE,  here i have  got my texture paste and  lindys stamp gang, magicals on  I was thinking of using a new product, but its still in customs, so there went that idea, theres always  next month to play with new  stuff,  i have 3 orders coming from different places so looking forward to playing with them all
after  putting on the  texture mixture, i felt it didn't have enough  shimmer  for me,  so i then
got my water brush and with the  magical s again ,  dipped into and added over the top

well  best get off here  now and see what  next i can  do

Interesting colour this month,
Brown.

technique is  borders, are around  my photos , edges and  matting

my  colour  photo  looks black but in fact it is brown  paper.

my layout is called Messy FUN
today i have  used  Kaiser Coffee Bean CD 108  cardstock,  as my base,
 Bazzill  blue cardstock strips  cut & places  around the edges.

I recently bought some heartfelt creations dies  & have been wanting to  get into them to use ,  so today's the day. these dies are    from  the Cut, Mat ,Create   range an now i have used them , i will be using more  of them, they are so easy , i hate spending time  on taking out the bits that dont come out, they dont get used  if i waste my tiem  donig this ,and with heartfelt,  this is so good .
i have used ,  Kaiser papers from Loire Valley  Iris  LV 124, this was a kit, but  am starting to use up papers out of them just to use them up ive had this since 2008,  funny , it just had the right  blue  and brown in it ,  i will use the rest of the kit on  something else, i guess .  ( they have red on the papers  so will have to wait for a red challenge  or just   create the rest of the layout into something and wait for photos   ) Lol
 The  lacy corners  are from the heartfelt  dies, ( same brand as above,) used  cream cardstock  scraps

the  Messy  Fun is from  Kaszazz chipboards, here i have applied gesso  over them and while still wet have  pushed my mini circle dots over it  to create  a different  effect.
I have used the stencil, from  TCW  rebekah meter Designs for the  word  - time

also  on the background of my page , i have applied the gesso and while wet, sprayed Kaiser denim and yellow sprays over it though the stencil &   wiped my finger over it to  blend together
the  brown  butterflies , are from A Mothers Art in Casino, new south wales
the flowers  are from my stash.
