What a great challenge, i just love swirls and thought that this one would be a snitch to do, after all, i love anything with swirls in , but being so close to the end of the month i wanted to rush with it, so my first 2 attempts, with gesso and sprays, did not work as well as i expected and my third attempt i did not like the end result, a friend of mine once said sometimes simple is always the nicest with out going to too much trouble. so that's what i did. and i love it better than my previous attempts at this one.
To start off, i found some patterned paper with swirls in it and a sheet of purple card stock, Out came my lucky 8 punch and with 8 simple punches, my design was made i then attached it to the bottom of the page.
I then added black card stock to my photo,
and in my stash i have lovely bling with swirls, so placed them on the page along with some pretty flowers that i bought to make cards with, but they did not get onto the cards. all this was attached to white card stock.
I have also inked some glittery swirls in pink and yellow to the page.

Artaste April Challenge
what a great challenge, i just love swirls and thought that this one would be a snitch to do, after all, i love anything with swirls in ,
but being so close to the end of the month i wanted to rush with it, so my first 2 attempts did not work as well as i expected, and well, my third one, i was not completely happy with it either, when finished, so just thought i would go simple with this one, sometimes my friends say simple is the nicest .
so i started off with white card stock and with my lucky 8 punch, and my patterned paper & plain purple card stock, I set about punching, only 8 punches on a 12 x 12 sheet and one can have a lovely shape.
I then got out my swirls and ink some yellow and pink, and also got out of my stash of bling my clear swirls and recently bought some tiny flowers without even realizing that they would come in handy, I had originally bought them to make cards with.
I then matted my photo in black
thanks artaste for a lovely challenge .
hopefully i can continue with your challenge in the future,
thanks for popping by.

Pixels and paper April Challenge
hi, what a great challenge this one is,
something with bikes, i thought, oh yes, my friends and I drove to the Gold Coast last year and while we were having tea, i saw these cute bicycles and said to my friends , lets go and have a ride the taxi ride( with bikes ) took us back to our car, which was several blocks away. we all had a fantastic time that day and evening. we awesome foursome have great adventures last year and hope to have more this year.
So, to start my layout, colours, ummm, I know this is not new papers , but fairly old, but the colours are what i was after , black white and grey, These papers are from Kaiser and are from the Extreme collection.
In my stash I have cogs, some of the cogs are from Finnabair - cogs and gears. So have painted some of the cogs with grey and blue with inks and the chain was a fluorescent aqua, here I have painted it white, with Kaiser paint.
While drying, i found my cog stencil, also from Kaiser and with Adirondack acrylic paint dabber pearl, have dotted around the edges of the cogs.
I have placed the Kaiser paper onto Grey card stock and have distressed all the edges.
The mat behind the photo is Kaiser Garage Days along with the cycles under the title. Our bike ride,
The cycle in the bottom right hand corner is made of chipboard and bought that from my friend Sharon Pick who also sells lovely charms.
then it was just a matter of assembling it all together,

White with 1 April challenge
Thanks very much for this awesome colour - sand.
Here is my April layout.
To start my I have used white card stock and then with The Crafters workshop TCW359 Microbial 12 x 12 stencil. I have used Rico design structure paste & spread it over the page.
While wet, sprinkled some real sand over the bottom half of the dots then added some Amy Tangerine Clear dots
For the background papers are from sandy toes from Kaiser.
Also the Love sandy beaches is also from the Kaiser range using sandy toes sticker sheet.
I have used Sospesptrasparente series shell design. to make some of the larger shells.
To make the shells pop, I have cut out the shells which come on a sheet, after cutting , comes the fun part, I get a candle and heat with the candle and molded into shape with a special tool designed to make them look more real. I have used hot glue to stick then to the paper as well as the other shells and clear dots
Under the photo, I went and raided our medicine cabinet to get some gauze & have pulled it around I also found in my stash some hesson and some string.
On the top of the circle, i have dabbed Adirondack acrylic paint dabber pearl and have sprayed some Tattered lace, glimmer mist spray over the area.
until next month, have a great day.

1.2.3. April challenge
Here is my take on the April challenge.
Im not one who usually does pinks, but i had so much fun with this one, I may have to do more layouts in pink, now that i have started.
My base card is hot pink
I have got out of my stash, some tapestry squares sheet ( that i found at a op shop) and placed it over the card stock and added texture paste over it.
When dry, I have then sprayed Kaisers New mists, iridescent spray ink with pink shimmer,
next came inking the window frame, with Dew Drop Versa magic Cloud White ink
I recently went to a workshop, held by my friend Alison Bevis in which they i did a card classes.
when i received the bag, i did what the teacher told us, to do with it, it wasn't til i got this challenge, that i thought i would pull the bag out from the card and only use half of it , to make a curtain from the other half of the bag,
The word LOL is from a sticker sheet and i have placed glossy accents over it and placed it with some chipboard, ( which I have plenty of) & wound some white roses around it.
As you can see, i just love little delicate flowers, again, i have used the Kaiser mists on most of the flowers and sprinkled some white and soft pink flowers around it.
the leaves are chipboard and i again have first used the white ink and then added green around the edges and did it lightly inside, and then used a black pen to make lines.
With the stems of the flowers, i have used a small paint brush to make it twirly and placed some Kaiser sticker sheets green flowers and a dragon fly with a clear bling over it.
The photo - is of my lovely friend, Natalie, taken at my birthday having Vintage High Tea. recently.
one is hot pink,
2 is lol
3 is the grid. of my layout.
